Yea, too late.
The appraiser was already here.
The guy is a stand up guy.
Knew my pain with the $10k deductible BS, but called me personally to give me a heads up.  He didn’t have to do that, but he wanted to warn me of things.  I respect that.

Unsure what will happen.
Just have to wait things out and play the hand I’m dealt.
We’ll see.

Better bud.  Thanks!
However, a week from today she goes back in to get the 2nd one removed.
She’s not thrilled.

Shouldnt be too late unless they paid you but you never know.  Maybe you can buy it back?  Sorry to read that re: Donna.  Hope she recovers quickly.

Too late once they start the process.
I'm researching all of my options.  Including FEMA.
I still don't have a definitive answer from Gieco on everything.

Donna got her 2nd surgery today.
Just got home, after taking her for ice cream, because she was a good patient.   ;)
They didn't remove the stiches and staples from the first surgery because it didn't look healed enough.
They will wait for 2 more weeks and reanalyze.
The spot removed today required 2 attempts to get it all, as the previous one did.
The spot today was a lot smaller than the first, so it only required half as many stiches and no staples.
No skin graft either.
All in all, she did well.
Next 2-3 days will be rough for my patient.

She is sore today.
But not like the first one she had removed 2 weeks ago.
This one was a lot smaller, and not as deep.

I have an insurance inspector coming today to inspect the house damage from the storm.
Has nothing to do with the motorhome - still waiting to hear something concrete on that.
Still glad we are finally moving forward on the home though.

Inspection went well I think.
We will see what the final $$ is in a couple weeks he said.
I also spoke to Gieco on the motorhome.
I got some “unofficial” semi-good news but will refrain from saying exactly until we get the official notice late next week.

This hurricane is still going to cost us a lot of money.

Time heals.

I’m not nearly as pi$$ed off as I was a week or two back.  It’s only money and we are still alive.

Onward.

Donna is way better this round.
The cancer size was less that 1/4 of the previous one.
So, even though they needed to cut twice like they did for the first batch, they didn't have to remove anywhere near as much surface area as last time to get it all.
Only a few stiches, no staples, and no skin grafts either.
So her pain is significantly less.
Now she heals.
Goes back in 2 weeks to get the staples from the first surgery out and hopefully all of the stiches.
Last night she slept in the bed instead of the chair!!
Overall, she is doing well.
Thanks.
