I've been keeping track of a few things over the past few seasons to use as markers for fishing was curious what others observations are.
The last 3 years I've noticed on the tri state area when red maples start flowering smelt are running or starting to. Another is around home town when shad trees blossom suckers stack up in the brook to spawn.
March full moon bring lots of cusk into area I fish, I get a few but at full moon or after put the hammer on them
