Big Brookies
« on: Sep 25, 2022, 05:03 PM »
I haven't had too much opportunity to fish this weekend, and wanted to make the most of the time available, so late this afternoon I went to a private pond stocked with big brookies.

The weather was cool (60 degrees) with a light drizzle.

The pond (actually a dammed(11" to  portion of a brook) was well filled but (unusually for a trout pond) awfully weedy, which made it a bit more challenging when reeling in the fish.

About half an hour to 45 minutes produced over a dozen good-sized (11" to 13") brookies - - of which I kept one to give to a friend.
