I guess if you don't have any expectations, you can shrug off the losing easier.

That sounds eerily like a lot of the Brewer talk around here.  At least our team, mascot, and stadium are all named after beer so we remember what to drown our sorrows in... oh and the Sausage races, only in WI.

Yeah, the sausage races are classic.  But is it enough to get you to a game?  In Pittsburgh, they do a similar thing with pierogies.....  I would prefer a winning team though.

No, the racing sausages don't get me to the games.  The ones grilling in the parking lot do.  Nothing like the smell of glowing charcoal and brats boiling in beer and onions.  We're heading over to Miller Park on the 17th for another game.  The key to enjoying a terrible team, as I'm sure you know, is to have 4 brats and a dozen beers before entering the park.  It sates the appetite and dulls the pain -- and if you can afford a few more inside, you won't even remember the loss.

Lot's of beer.  It's funny how beer makes the losing of the Pirates and the winning of the Steelers both more fun!

I'm a Tiger fan.

I felt like a N.O. Saints fan for those years we were breaking losing records....That and the Steroids, Strikes, and Pay-Rod, I pretty much stopped watching baseball.  But when the home team is good, you tend to gain a little interest. So there it is.

I don't even want to see another post about the Yank-mee's. Their payroll is higher than something like the bottom 5 teams combined. ..COMBINED!!! hmmm, I wonder if they're good because they have all the best players......

Be nice if their AAA club would do as well.  The ballpark is 15 minutes from my house.
