yes, lucky  ;) a guy at work took almost the whole lower unit off last year on the Sac. Res. and it was over 3000 to fix, that is what boat insurance is for, this is you have a big boat that needs it.  ;)

You must have been counting your lucky stars you only need a new prop.  :-\  :P
Fishing isn't a matter of life or death, it's much more important than that!

I live with FEAR everyday, and sometimes she lets me go fishing!

a Canadian 70 so it closer to 40 which is still crazy to hit bottom at, the unit isnt lost but is more than likely bent.

I try not to go fast on new lakes that i dont know. A few years ago we were cruising in the middle of a lake and looking at the depth finder and we came up to a ledge that went from aboutn 40ft. to 3 ft. in a very short time. Good thing we were only goin slow b/c it kept goin up until it was about a foot deep.

Oh Lord - there he is, it feels like a big one, please don\'t let me lose him, I\'ve never caught one this big before.  I\'ll try not to horse him, and if I land him, I promise to release him, and make a graphite replica, if my wife says it\'s ok.  Thank you for the Rapalas...

VC, at least you got one trouble-free trip out of it.  Scuba damaged his prop first time out after repair this spring.

Soon after hitting those "rubber rocks" my engine on the boat decided to die. Made it about thirty or so yards from shore. Ever paddled a 18' fiberglass runabout? It's like cement in water. Thank god there was no wind or we would probably still be out there. Boat was dropped off on Friday and waiting to here what the problem is. Keep your fingers crossed........................ :'(
