Gotta love a lot of clamps. My pumpkins are going over well , I started some jack o lantern boxes I'll put led tea lights in . Also made a couple more cooler boxes . I love when they sell, $$. Also picked up a scroll saw today. I think it will help with my tremors to make curves and smaller cuts. Your work is top notch Bob

I’ve got a LOT of clamps. Not like the cabinet shop where I had
LOT
of clamps. Smaller, but equal in number. Can’t have too many.
Glad your hobby is paying off and keeping you busy. Its the best time of life…if you ask me.

6 more trains for market.
210 individual parts in those.
Gotta make another batch of finger spin tops next.

Thanks.
Turned out 20 finger spin tops this afternoon. I’ve been selling them for $1 but I have to raise my price I guess. 1 1/2” poplar dowel is up to $10 ea. Last year I was paying $4.
Hate to do it, but I can’t work for $8 /hr.

Seems to be the worst part of being a crafter is material price. Especially lately

Indeed!
Went to Lowe’s to get a few 1/4” dowels. $1.64 each. Bought 100 from Casey’s Wood Products for less than $25. And they’re birch vs poplar. Much better to work with. And they’re round to boot.
A 6’ piece of 5/4 clear pine was $12. Granted I get a lot of parts from that but it’s still double what I was paying last year.

Had a decent day at the market. Several Grandparents buying for their Grandkids. One lady and her Mom bought a couple tops. I asked how old the kid was. They laughed and she replied “40, it’s for my husband. He loves tops.”
I told her it was made by a kindred spirit.

It was fun Dom. Only 3 weeks left there. We’d like to do maybe 1 Christmas show this year. But that’ll be it. It’s been interesting and we’ll be looking for more, different venues next year.
In any event, I’ve made some money for materials this winter and spent some real quality time with my Son. That’s priceless.

Bob, I’ll put together a bundle of pine cut offs aside for you. We usually have a bunch from time to time.😎
