Browning pond
« on: Jul 25, 2006, 01:12 PM »
Went out on Sunday night, real spooky, lots of fog and very dark. I had two rods with me, a Shimano spinning rod and a Quantum baitcaster ($140). Quite late I sais to myself "last cast" take the spinning rod with a Gulp sinking minnow and give my hardest over hand-to-the-other-side-of-the-pond cast, hooked the baicaster and dropped it in the water :cursing:. If you ever fish Browning and you find a nice Quantum accurist combo please call me, It's only in about 6 feet of water.  :'(

So can't you hook it with a big treble or something  ??? ???

Shouldn't be too hard

I tried and tried but I couldn't see athing, too much fog so I couldn't keep on top of it, all I got was lots of 'giant snot' on the hooks. It was 1.30 am so I just went home and cried  :'(

Always have to look at the half full part of the cup. Yes I did lose a great combo, it was worth $140 - but I got it on sale. BUT now I get a new one even better! I just ordered a Cabelas Prodigy and Fish Eagle combo with a spare spool! So.... ouch ouch ouch, I lost a good one, :'( ouch ouch ouch... I am getting a new one . So what if my kids don't eat this month, right? :-\

Man that blows!  Kids can go days, even weeks without food.  Let's not forget what's important.......getting a new combo!
