fishing report rock river

cat fish starting to hit red worms...water is still high but within its banks...still flood stage around the joslin area...fish holding in the deeper holes, just off current...

a few walleye here and there...river dropping very slowly...

did not go yesterday....snowing to hard for this old man...my son caught 3 walleye... 18ins....to..19.5 ...

big females starting to move in....seen 3 in the last 2 days over 6lbs....6.3lbs to 7.9lbs....all released...none caught by yours truly...water temp in low 40..

third basser...any of the sloughs where the water is backing up in, up and down the river...they have not been in the heavy current...I have been down by erie+ prophetstown...

looks like another bad weekend to try and do that though.  They are expecting 15.85 at joslin I think by mon.

bucky75....high and dirty...and its going be to a tad chilly....tv is saying a high around 40 for sat...  in the 60s by next wed...the rock in afton wis. is 2ft. over flood stage today.... dead end sloughs...

catfish on the bite....my neighbor,who is 81....had his grandsons put his boat dock and boat in yesterday....he went today..7 good size channels...all caught on cheese..

catfish in the shallow water...just off heavy current...close to the bank...smaller ones seem to be in the deeper water...river still 1.5 ft. above flood stage at some spots in rockford....1ft. above at afton wis....

Do any of you guys use G&S Cheese Bait? I used to use it on the Rock when I lived in Illinois but then when I moved I have never seen it in a catalog or bait store, anybody have any info. I really liked that stuff.
