any open water?

Does anybody know the ice situation at Blackstrap or Diefenbaker?

was out at blackstrap last sunday evening,and lots of ice,about 20 feet gone around edges at north end but towards the park not even the edges were open.Funny u brought this topic up because i was wonderin the same.Wonderin if any miracles happpened since sunday.I sorry to say but i actually am thinkin towards the second weekend now

the ice is starting to bang around on blackstrap now...there's enough room to fish from shore in most places...you just haveto watch which way the wsind is blowing...

Doubt you'll get a boat in this weekend. And the ice is moving hard with the wind. I'm going to be going and checking in a few minutes.

OK 2:31 our time on friday 01/05/09. Ice is pushed hard against the east shore as the wind is out of the west, so it's very very unlikely you'll be able to launch a boat this weekend. Tomorrow the wind is supposed to be right out of the north, so I'm sure the boat launch will be iced over still tomorrow.

went out to the pound tonight and its good boating conditions so i think thats where we are going to go and try to snag some eyes

pasqua wide open no ice at all same with echo and mission as for katepwa there is still some ice on it this is as of  tuesday may 5th middle of the afternoon
we went to fish the river thinking the lakes were still froze over and we had a nice suprise however we didnt take our boat lol so we fished the river got about a 3 lb pike and a nice 8 lb pike and a few light bights
