real nice catch!  Can't wait for some salmon, have got a few nice brookies but am craving a nice salmon. :P

not sure what that was he had em on both sides.looked like he had been rubbed raw.

no i dropped some lead line for about an hour but no luck.salmon were hitting good though caught 5 and lost 3 had one break my line bought some of that fire line not to impressed thats the second line break this year.

The fire line can be tricky to get a knot that will hold well too. I have never open water fished in EG. I ride my bike up there often during the summer but I have not taken my boat up yet. I have herd some unbelivable salmon numbers being caught there in the past,and I guess they get some great togue there now.

I will be there for a few days starting May 4th.  Great pics, some real nice fat ones.  Were you trolling smelt?

yup i ran out of live ones so i tried frozen that i brought but they didnt seem to like them.

Is there any place near Danforth that sells live smelt right now? If so how much are they going for?

the only place i know of is crommits in howland. there is also a guy in grand lake stream selling them there going for about 8 bucks a doz.
