My biggest is 24 lbs. 11. oz. 39 1/2" long.   I have caught many over 20lbs.  Lake Ontario is a great place to catch 14+ lbs. lakers daily.  20+ lb. lakers are very common.

I was informed that the lake trout population had decreased significantly in ontario?

Just have to fish with people that know how and where to catch them. If you are going to fish it and never have go with a charter the first time to learn as much as you can.

14lber are common in lake Ontario that insaneee gotta make the trip I guess, my biggest is an 8lb laker

Here is the new boat record from Lake Ontario after last summer.


34lbs 6oz.  Caught on a Spin N Glow behind a Hammerhead Cowbell.

37 inches, almost 17 pounds .....  on a 26 inch medium action ice fishing rod  8)
