Do you really think so?? It wouldn't be much w/o a hatchery truck. Some good bass, but Wachusett beats Comet any day.

true but they put big trout and salmon in there and alot of them hold over if not caught

jf got it right, Why fish it when you got the Ressie, and the smallie switch is turning on, from what I've been hearing. Haven't been in 3 weeks myself. Comet got another visit from the truck this week, happened to be riding by when they pulled in, dumped a batch of Tiger's in, a few nice ones too, 3 to 4lbs, rest were average stock. Worc. Telegram had the list of re-stocked ponds today. Comet's and Fort are great managed fisheries, but if you don't have a boat it a tough fish with limited shore access.

Some ‘ol hick fisherman "know it all” told me comet has 15+ lb brown trout??  can anyone verify this. thightlines moose

Although on very rare occasions Comet prodcues a few large holdover browns up to 8lbs. But,  I would say 15lb fish from there is close to impossible. Maybe he is thinking of broodstock salmon???  Commonly stocked there 5-20lbs...

i myself have taken a 5 3/4 lb brown in the fall.  and have seen many salmon taken though the ice in the 10-15 lb range. i dident think a brown could get so large in a pond. maybe in the ressi. quabbin or the chu...   fish on and tightlines   moose

fished comet on the beach side after they closed the gate for the locals. got about 45 mins in. tossed the fly not much action..   did a few blown worms, the rainbows were lovving it up! falls comming... then the trout switch flips on..  tightlines moose!!

fished boat ramp.. 5 cars at beach...  tough blow!!  2 runs 1 brown. 1 hr on the water..   tons of boats, they must all be after them salmon!! hada be 20 boats anyways!!  tightlines moose
