First, I stay off the lake on weekends. Usually on the lake by 7am. Once the fish get into their summer locations, I seem to catch most of my fish during the day. That could be just the way I fish! I trolled spinners for a few years and caught fish but I have caught a lot of fish jigging. I don't keep any fish and I do feel that jigging is much better for the fish. It is very rare when I walleye takes a jig deep....h2l

I'm with h2l no weekends, I like to go out about 7 am and fish till noon. Most of my fishing is spinners but would like to try jigging.

1st time up since opening the camp. Fri night 16.5 smallie and small rock bass. Sat am 2 just legal smallies. Sat night, skunked. Sunday am, 2 walleye 17" & 18". Will be good eating. Down toward the dam so many won't venture that far. Not good on posting pictures here so....................

Pete. nice seeing you on the lake. 5 walleyes, 1 rock bass and a 12" perch. Water temp 72*. Two of the walleyes were keepers. Did better on the Northville end of the lake. Wind changed from the South to the West and the bite seemed to pick up, but I had had enough for one day. I MUST be getting old...h2l

GOOD LUCK, Iceman!

Fished yesterday with my cousin, we caught three walleyes, one was a keeper, also caught a small pike. Bass were jumping all over.

Sure that were  bass and not carp?
Carp are still spawning and the juveniles do a lot of jumping..

Iceman, it was a nice morning to be on the lake. Way to go!
Raq, I have seen a few carp coming out of the water at the house. They just sort of come out the water and fall back in....h2l

Raq never gave carp a thought, you could be right. It was a nice morning to be out.
