What????

You looking at a 40’ trawler now?

You aware that there’s a vaccine to prevent “Twofootitis”. Got my shot 32 years ago. Still have the same 14’. It must have worked.

I'm sticking with my 14 1/2 foot Starcraft 'cause the lakes aren't big enough around here to justify a bigger boat and other than Erie, Lake Michigan really isn't that great fishing anymore to justify investing in a boat just to go out on the big lakes.

I bought this Hobie kayak a couple of years ago for half price because it was a showroom model. Tricked it all out complete with downrigger, fish finder, DIY stabilizers, anchors etc. but am considering selling it.  It's a b***h to get in and out at my age. And after a couple of hours my back is sore.

Went to the storage facility and hugged my boat today.
Actually, I had forgotten to winterize the washdown pump.
So I went and pulled the hose from it and drained the water out of it.
I left the hose off for the winter.
I have never winterized the washdown pump in any of my previous boats.
But I figured it would be easy enough to do on this one as it is right there in the motor area and simple to get at.

My first boat was a 1979 Sylvan 16.5’.
I did a LOT of fishing and skiing in that boat!!!

Now I can’t sleep. Picturing you water skiing…..ruined a perfectly good nights sleep.

Not to mention “hugging your boat”

I used to waterski a lot.
Never very good on a slalom ski but was pretty good on 2.

I know this sounds nuts, but I’m going to sell the boat in the spring.  It’s in winter storage right now.
The only reason I’m posting this is to give people here the first shot at it.
I have about $30k into it and the details on everything are here in this thread.  Nothing will be pulled off.
Other than my rods and lures.
I’m going to ask $26k for it and it’s worth every penny.  Most of you know me and can vouch for how I treat and take care of my boats.  Please don’t low ball me!!
I’ll only get mad and come and kill your dog.  😎
If you want it now, let me know soon because the storage facility is only open for the next 2-3 wks.  After that, it stays in storage until we get back from Florida in late April at the earliest.

Please don’t make this thread crazy.

If you have questions or comments please PM me.

Thanks.

I spent some time looking over reciepts, Amazon records, and then I updated my spreadsheet detailing what I have into the boat.
I found that my original number was off a little.
I actually only have about $27k into the boat.
So I'll probably be asking about $23-24k in the spring.
I'm on the Trophy board over on FB and see a few same as mine actually selling higher in some other higher market areas of the country.
Gotta do your research when trying to sell a boat or vehicle.

She is in storage, and WAY in the back of the facility.
So there is no getting her out till at least April anyway.

Yup Geoff.
We sold our place on Lake Erie.
My son Jeff is in the process of buying our house.
The boat is next.
But not until we get back from Florida the end of April when I pull it out of storage.

Things simply got out of hand, and we decided to simplify.
That's it in a nutshell.

The Trophy isn't the boat we want for Florida............so it goes!

Whoever buys it will get a great rig for sure.

Going to get it out of storage.
Then replace the trailer brakes.
Then it goes to anchor Marine to get sold.

If anyone is interested - $24k is what I'll accept (if I don't have to take it there).

It will be heading to Anchor next weekend.

I wish I could steal it from you Mac! Kinda exactly what I'm looking to upgrade to here in the next few years. It'll be gone quick.

It goes to Anchor Marine Saturday for my buddy to sell for me.
At that time the price goes up.
