Thanks everyone, having another great season here.
Forgot about this one earlier in the week, finally got back down to where the creek flows into the Tsirku River. The sockeye turn here to head up to Chilkat Lake where they spawn and found it to be the best spot to catch fresh ones that are excellent eating, if you can get them to bite. I had one on my first cast and it got away as I was grabbing the net, started switching lures after not getting any more and finally got a nice one on a silver/pink Iron Decoy spoon. Perfect timing for some nice meals on my days off, food is really expensive in town.

Fall bites starting. Several heavy fish and pulled doubles on drop shot with a third fish chasing the two hooked.

They were fired up in the river last night. Wrist breakers for sure.

Love SMB fishing.
Erie?
Finger Lakes. Caught over a dozen in 30-35' in a couple of hours along with 2 bullhead, 12 perch, 2 sunfish and who knows rockies. Very productive evening trip. Kept most of the perch!

Nice fish guys. I love catching smallies on light tackle. I need two more walleye trips to Erie to fill the freezer then it’s all about pannies.

Tough getting more than 3 it seems. Couple throwbacks too.
