Nice, but I haven’t heard any peepers yet so I’m gonna hold tight for another week or two

Peepers been out on the warm nights. I know the bullhead are there it's just been crappy weather so I haven't gone. Just got the worm boxes out and ready for the next warm rain hopefully I can collect enough for most the year then I'll get a bucket or 2.

No peepers yet at my place they don't like the cold wind. Frost just went out with the monsoon last night so no crawlers yet. I'd like to try frozen clams like you use in the ocean but no luck locating them locally. chicken livers work well but a pain to keep on the hook. tried spawn sacks and ended up fighting with soggy cloth more than fishing so gave up on them. they fry up good with a little corn meal. May try frozen mussels as they look cheaper than night crawlers and easier to get with my old sore back. I wish I could find some bullheads to cooperate during the day like Mr Trap.

Use some squid, it will stay on the hook most of the night, but more importantly, put some glow beads on the hook, often you won't even need bait...

WHAT WARM NIGHTS?!?!?!

 :rotflol: :rotflol: :rotflol:

The nights I've been out when it was 50 and no wind I hear them. I keep my house at 60° all winter. I guess warm to me is different than the old folks who live in Florida half the year. Lol
