I agree. I've had days where I catch 4 or 5 salmon or Lakers then go 2 months without a bite!!

Strangely ice fishing doesn't seem to be awful there.

I don't think it is. and Roberts Cove is closed at least until May. Same for Ames farm!
I'm looking at this weekend and considering Squam instead!

What about the Alton town ramp? Leave the trailer at Letter S Rd.?

Robert’s Cove indicates they are open for launching on their website.

Is the state launch (Downings) not open yet??
Ribbon cutting ceremony on May 3rd supposedly open after that.. :-X

Drove by it yesterday on the way to the Alton town ramp (skunked, by the way).  They did a ton of work compared to what it looked like previously.  Not sure if they added parking spaces though, really not that many.  But they leveled the lot and dressed it up pretty good.  Noticed they fenced off the perimeter to prevent any shore fishing.
