A night trip on The Conn River
« on: May 07, 2022, 10:50 AM »
I plan to do a night float trip down a section of the Connecticut River this "early" Summer, fishing for whatever will bite and I am wondering if anyone else would like to come along? The river is big enough that 3-4 boats could easily fish.  I will be paddling my canoe (with my pontoons on), and the section I have in mind is mostly flat water, no boat traffic, with tame rock riffles, so it's canoes and kayaks. I am thinking put in around dust pull out whenever we are done... The better the fishing, the longer the time on the water! Smallies and possible walleye are the most likely, but it is the Conn River so you never know. Let me know if you are interested and we will see what we can put together!

I'm interested Allan.  I made it miles up from the oxbow in the bass boat to similar water and absolutely slayed smallies until my hands hurt.  Is there launchable access or is this canoe land?  Id be interested in getting out and wading too.

Canoe land and I figured on stopping and casting from time to time...
