Trip to the Q
« on: May 30, 2022, 06:39 AM »
Will and I made it out for a few hours and had a great time. Started the trip with a drop for lakers and got a nice one right off the bat, but then it was all follows and taps after that... We quickly switched over to smallies and had a great time, I was using a small popper on my ultralight rod and the new the Shimano World jerk bait and did well. Mostly we stayed outside the beds and found many cruising fish. The weather was great, but we both had much to do, so back to the homesteads we went... Tomorrow my father and I plan to have the maiden voyage of our new boat, we will get to see if it floats! We will start with Bartons Cove and not drive to the coast for the first trip...
