Back at `'Em

After returning from a 6 day road trip to Pennsylvania last night, I seized the opportunity to do some fishing today.

Given all the rain/flooding the NE has had the past several days, I shifted my sights from my usual haunts (the various branches of the Hoosic) to Fish Pond (Windsor Lake) in North Adams, from 12 noon to 1:30 PM.

It was sunny and warm (86 degrees) with a slight breeze.

My younger son, who is an old pro at fishing this body of water was kind enough to lend me his old foldable kayak, and even set it up for me, and showed me some of the better spots to target.

Overall, I did pretty well - - ten sunfish, three perch, a crappie and a 15   & 1/2 inch largemouth bass (which felt even bigger when reeling him in because he was wrapped up in weeds that weighed about as much as he did).

Way to go Jim.  What are the flows like up there?  We will be waiting for a week or two before our rivers are suitable again.
