Alright finally it's here. Walleye season. It's off to a good start so far. I fished Saturday night with my dad and it was tough to find what they wanted I stuck with my old standby bait too long. Oh well, I should have changed up but I just kept thinking they would turn on but I was using the wrong bait. Anyway Sunday night I dialed their number with my super secret walleye backup bait which did the trick. I caught about 10 fish last night and kept 4. Saturday I only caught two. :'(
Here's some pics. Enjoy many more to come as the season gets underway. Needless to say the fish are biting once you know what to use but it wasn't the normal baits.
Here's the one lone keeper from Saturday.

I think we maybe headed for the Slipbob Walleye Show on TV. Seeing is beleiving thats for sure. I 'm thinking maybe all these walleyes are coming from Lake Lonely though because thats the only lake not mentioned. I know my son in law swears by Lake Lonely especially for Crappie. Last year he caught many Crappie, Bass & Pike there. Nice pictures of the first weekend of walleye.

Hey slipbob I like that hat! Keeps me in business. Those are some nice walleye. I live in Mass but fish C'Drago and the Canals a lot and have caught some HUGE walleye in there. This is a tough time of year for me to get up there with the striper run here in Mass on the Connecticut River but love catching NY Walleye. There isn't many places to fish for them in Mass.
