Well spring is on the horizon and in a few months will be full out open water fishing. Was wondering if anyone had been doing any flyfishing on the upper kenai or around skilak.

Floated from outlet of kenai to jim's landing on friday with two rainbows caught on flesh flies,  then on saturday floated from sportsmans to Jim's.  Caught 3 bows on saturday.  Was good to be back on the river again, plus don't see to many other boats which is nice considering how many there will be later on in the summer.

Baiter good to see you did well on the Kenai.  How big were the bows that you hooked into?  Great time of year for flesh flies!

Fished kenai again this thursday and friday.  Fishing was good, 4 bows landed a few others hook.  My buddy caught a real nice 30 incher on Thursday evening, beautiful fish.  River is up below where the russian pours in.
