Anyone fishing at Cooney yet? Any suggestions on where to find the walleye? Are there any perch or crappie in there? Fairly new to the area and would appreciate any help. Thanks.

Getting the boat out of hibernation today, for a shakedown tomorrow on Canyon Ferry.  If the eyes are biting, well that's a bonus!!

Canyon ferry is open?  Ah nuts, I must have missed it as I drove through the dark to get to Holter.  Trout were on fire, and everything else was OK.  Good luck with your Shakedown, just make sure you don't have any wharf rats onboard that could cause you to spin out. ::)

From what I understand, the south end has been open for days.  Wharf rats.....lol!

Thinking about upper Holter this weekend. Nephew caught a 10lb brown last weekend there.
Fishing spawn from shore. It made a nice picture and memory for him.  I am jealous. Fish on my friends.

Looks like I am going to go out and fight the rain and wind this weekend either on the Musselshell or the Yellowstone. I don't get much time off anymore so I take what I can get. Despite crap weather, hopefully I catch a cat or two....

Going into the tobacco roots for some mountain lakes. Found my cutthroat lake finally ice free last week. Lake is at 7200'. Might be a soggy weekend but at least I have a tarp and can build a fire.
