Sweet FB, that looks like a great finder. I to have been looking at the scanning units also. Keep us informed on how it works for you when you get it going

I will post about it once I experiment with it.  I plan on using the side scan a lot for chasing muskies.  Even the HD feature is a huge upgrade for me.  I had a chance to really research what I want, and studied other anglers side scan videos, pretty cool stuff.  At least now I understand what I'm looking at and how it works.  When I saw one the first time, I didn't get it (I guess I'm a bit slow, LOL).

I'm pretty stoked about it.

The only problem, dropped the big $ to get it, and then my truck battery goes bad (another $150 down the tubes) yesterday and this morning, my car broke down... Needs an IAC valve according to the scope, and they are another $230 just for the part.

I told my wife that I got the depthfinder on sale and BPS won't let me return it  ;D ;D ;D

I haven't fished much this year compared to the past couple years for various reasons that are beyond my control, but do get to sneak out a few times.  I have yet to test out the new sonar although I did install it, so maybe this weekend the S.S. Fat Boy and I can get out to play.

Here are a couple pics from my past couple trips, first shoreline bassin':

Nice chunk from the other day that crushed a buzzer:

From July, a tough hot day where the bass were 20-25' down:

Thanks Dom.  Yeah we've still got a lot of green, but temps have really cooled down a lot.  You can definitely tell that change is coming so we shouldn't be too far behind y'all.  The fishing should get pretty good and since bow season is in, the waters shouldn't be crowded.

Did you all just have ice out?   ;D

Thanks guys!

I took a mini vacation to get some much needed fishing time from last week, here are some pics.  The bass were from two days, musky fished the rest (one day skunked, the other day a pike).  I had one day with two 20+" bass, then a few days later, had 17 bass with 4 of them over 20", and two 19.5", smallest was 17"!!!!  It was a day that I'll never forget.  Black plastic worms or a skirted black/blue jig with a worm trailer...it was windy and the fish were a bit deeper than you'd think, but when you found 'em, hang on.

Also got a 37" northern pike (on a musky bait while targeting musky), several pickerel and some huge pumpkinseeds.
