Ill be up to this area on May 1., two weeks early. Will be going in through Ashland. Does anyone
Know road and ice conditions?? Thanks paul

roads are still muddy in places. if it doesnt rain much it should be passable. ice out up here is usually the 1st week of may on the bigger lakes but it may be earlier due to the poor quality ice over the winter. pm me before you go and ill give you the current conditions then. if i knew what lake youre hitting i could give you a more accurate time frame as ive fished most lakes in that area. pm me if you want. good luck!

Thanks Jacksmelt. Grandfather,Father, and sons, from three family's, camp on musquacook #2,each year. Last year, the roads were a washout. We were scattered that whole day. Finely regrouped and went in through Portage. I just thought, maybe asking this year, and saving allot of problems.

I don't think you'd have road conditions as bad as last year. No where near the amount of snow and no where near the amount of rain (yet).
