Went down to Thompson this morning,  Had one salmon on within 5 minutes but it jumped off as we were getting ready to land it with the net (good release).  Then not another hit all morning until the very end and it didnt hook on. Let me tell you it poured out there. There were a ton of people fishing in boats. Good times although i wish i could have landed that salmon!

Was on Lake Auburn this morning playing dodge boat with everyone else!  Did end up getting a 17in salmon right smack in the middle of the lake though, trolling with riggers at 15ft under.  Lots of nice hatches of bugs on the water, was surprised nothing hit my top bait.  Won't go back there until the crowd thins some though.....

2 haddock and a wolffish out at jeffries ledge Billfitrite scored 2 haddock it was a very very slow day and fishing with meat rods LIKE lefties didnt help the cause !!!!!!

Ended up fishing a swamp brook with two friends in york county. That hale storm caught us good. No brook trout but nine salmon were caught by me? At first I thought they were brown trout about 6", but I'm sure they were nice healthy salmon, so we left and went deeper into the swamp, caught about 20 until dark, released all. Took a short cut out and  got turned around in a cutdown, that wasn't there a few years ago. It got dark,darker, then dark. Got stuck in the mud, got wet, Made it out before 10. My friends were at the car hammered bye then, thanking god they didn't have to go find me. WHAT a BLAST! I haven't had so much fun since I was a teenager. paul

It was fun though.  The seas werent that bad at all. about 3 foot rollers.  Good day with good companyand some fish for a chowdah !!!!!



Any size to those stripers.

I heard a rumor from my father today that his buddy caught his first schoolie of the year off of plum island yesterday !!!!!!!!!!
