Dinkfest

The local finally cleared up and retreated into its banks last week. I paid a call just after sunrise
and was greeted by a stream full of aggressive smallies.  Every hole with 3 or more feet of water
was occupied by with several 8-9 inch smallies only too happy to smack my hair jig. I'd get to a spot,
cast, and get dink bit.  As soon as I realized the fish were small I moved on to the next hole only
to have the same result. i only caught one fish of another species -  a good sized goggle eye.
It seems early, but I looked for, and found no evidence of spawning activity.

fish on,
