Glad i tried this evening. Got on the best crappie bite in some time. Aggressive males 3 feet from the bank and a few females. Brought home a limit of mostly 10 inch fish, had a couple close to 12 but most were in that 10 inch class. Threw back a ton of fish as well. Caught them on jig and bobber, casting and retrieving, and also on minnows. They bit the entire time i was there. There is a tournament this weekend so it will be busy. Son has varsity baseball tourney tomorrow anyway so me and him are planning on maybe sunday afternoon or late evening to hit it again.

O.K. so my pond isn't so weird after all!  :rotflol:  Thanks for the video!

On a funny note although these were toads my dad was helping me move some bluegills via hook and line a few years ago and a massive bullfrog really had the hots for his bobber. Keeping mounting it over and over again!  :rotflol: Had no interest in mine!

I have my fishing closet and she has her sewing room.  She knows that she has "carte blanche" when it comes to enjoying
her hobby.  She has more cloth than some small fabric stores.  As a courtesy, if I plan on buying fishing stuff costing over
$50. I check with her first.  There used to be a "Joanne Fabric" next to a Gander Mountain.  We'd park between the
two businesses and head to our respective shops and rejoin a few minutes later to compare purchases.

Don't feel sorry for me and my little closet.  There ain't no sewing machines on trailers in the driveway or bolts of fabric
in the garage.

fish on,

Good luck guys , I spent the day cranking perch up north ,so eye fishing is out for me tonight
Last season the eye bite was very good
Bobby , Shane and I had a great time
Fall bite was pretty good for me and prior to the close the bite was just stupid ,
I agree with Oneida 1 they may not be in some of their normal haunts this time of year do to the weather

The wife and I just went to the nursery today. We're brainstorming on some changes to the flower gardens. Got some great ideas, now have to decide. Picked up a few tomato plants & parsley. Hate to buy too early but last year we waited, and the selection was poor.
