Fishing near Akron

My daughter will be going to the University of Akron this fall to work towards her masters in exercise physiology. Whats the area like, and is there any good fishing in the area? Thanks. Any and all information will be appreciated.

firestone lake was just opened to the public. supposed to be a good lake,have not made it there though.
to the east is berlin and milton,to the south is atwood. should be able to find your fish of prefferance at some of those.
