Headed out to my cousins cabin for a bit today and did a bit of fishing. I was hoping to try the fly rod but it was much to windy. So I just took out the bait caster. I managed about 4 of these little guys. . .

Did you eat them? That size are delicious! I had my first catfish (BBQ'ed) last year, and I'll have it again, that's for sure.

No, I did not eat it but next time maybe I will. I hear they taste really good.
There are bigger ones in there as well. But they are farther out. But next time I will maybe take the boat out and try a bit. On calm days you will see massive cats and carp jumping. My uncle was out on the sea-doo earlier this year and was catching carp with his hands.

Oh man
. Am I impressed with you Manitobans. Catching fish on sea-doos with your bare hands. That is impressive.
I was fishing with my dad years ago and the rainbows were jumping everywhere. So much so that one jumped into the boat. I however was not quick like your uncle, I didn't catch with my hands. Very impressive.

Yup, im surprised as well cuz my uncle can barely catch fish on a rod
But in the spring the carp are so thick in there it is unbelieveable. The bay is only about 3 feet deep so its a pretty shallow bay. Pretty weedy also.

Ive been hunting but not finding
I might be heading into tooth lake on saturday with a buddy, my dad is working so I cant go to the catfinder gettogether
than maybe chase some kitties at lockport on sunday. But I just found out that we might be getting a Lot a couple doors down from my cousins cabin so I can chase those monsters in that bay even more if we get it
I sure hope we get it, lol
