Picked my pumpkins this afternoon...
One that's just a little bigger than a basket ball has a stem as big around as a 2 litter coke bottle....
Its actually 14 1/4" at the base..   ;D

That's a weird looking pumpkin Dom.

Pulled all but one of my tomato plants  yesterday. Plants are fading. Took some cuttings from my begonias and Passion flower vines for next year. Gonna try to keep a couple of the guinea impatiens indoors this winter. It would be nice to have some flowers around indoors in the bleak months.

I do love my plants.

If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.

Maybe for a weekend or so. I'd never live there. Visited several times. Just don't like it all that much.

Great day cooking in the kitchen. Gave my son Lasagna lessons, made some bean soup with smoked ham and sausage, lasagna for dinner with garlic toast and double chocolate brownies for desert.

Now for a nice dram of Buffalo Trace.

Life is most certainly good ;D

I still have peppers and tomatos but the Romas are the last standing, and they are on the way out. Had a summer full of tomato cucumber salad, fresh broccoli and even tried 4 of the everbearing strawberries, and I'll tell you what they are still flowering and producing a dozen a week  ;D They will go in a patch with a dozen more next year for sure, cnat beat fresh strawberries in september.... heck I micht try a strawberry apple pie  :o On the topic of apples, I took a beating from the June bugs, they devistaed my apple and cherry trees again :-\ they all seem to be alive but boy, did they get hammered. Nute spikes next week and pulling the plug on the Garden for the year. Brownies sound good RG mine are a special treat  :whistling: :whistling: :w00t:

Those Habaneros even look hot in the picture...   ;D

We pulled most of my tomato plants last night and froze 6  gallon bags of puree for sauce..
Peppers are still going... ;D
