Spring walleye
« on: Feb 27, 2022, 08:35 PM »
Who else is looking forward to chasing the walleye this spring out of the boat, I figured some stuff out last year on a lake by me and want to see if it stays true each year. Really do not want to stop icefishing for the walleye since I have figured out a bite but kind of looking forward to taking the boat out and catching a few on the long rod, just not looking forward to summer and the high heat.

Lake opening up that I figured the walleye out last year so might give it a go this weekend if we can, boysen still has lots of ice so will be a little bit before the boat rolls in there.

Don't need a boat early.  They come right in next to shore.

Yeah I know they get close to shore as the lake I want to fish can usually hit the boat from shore just like catching more fish and not having to cast that much, plus keep the wife happy catching fish and being able to read her book in-between rods bending. Started seeing guys fishing the open hole by the boat ramp at boysen on the web cams the last couple days.
