Me and my dad went out to crystal in Ellington after work yesterday. Usually start off trolling for trout and then end up bass fishing because we'd much rather catch 16+"bass than 8 inch trout. But we gave it a shot like usual. Not 2 minutes after I told him I couldn't remember the last time I actually caught a trout there my rod bends over. Little rainbow. A minute later my dad caught another one. I lost another at the boat because my hook was pretty garbage. Silver 2" pheobe. All the while we were seeing salmon jump 3 times in a row. It was crazy. Pretty sure they haven't stocked it yet but was pretty active

The DEEP site says they stocked 125 salmon in Crystal Lake two weeks ago. Too bad you didn't get one, that would bend the rod!

Well that explains why we saw so many

Way to get out, was at Mt. Tom this am.  Saw one landed by a guy in a kayak about 4-5 pounds.
