Anybody been out yet? Still a little early but hearing reports of schoolies getting really active and a couple 30"era being caught in the Farmington and up by the Westfield river

Not yet.  Long season though.  Waiting for the big ones to show.  What have you been up to lately?

I'm hoping to test some local waters this weekend and see if there are any around.

Moved into a new house beginning of the year. Been doing a lot of work to it. Finally getting around to breaking out the gear and going through everything though. From what I've been reading the big boys are probably only a week or two away. Hoping we get a good year for them in the river this year

Fished a couple hours between 140 and 91 Bridges. I landed 3 schoolies and my dad got 1. Heard of a few big boys being caught past few days

After a couple schoolies tonight I got lucky at the 91 bridge. Extremely lucky. This fish wrapped around one of the pillars with 10lb test and I managed to land it. 37" 21lbs. She wouldn't swim away so I had to keep her. Looks like there's a fish fry in my future. Also was able to help a buddy catch his first striper. Good night in my books. Heading down to the shore tomorrow. Hoping for some more

Ran from Rocky Hill to the Farmington and back and didnt do squat.  I wanted to keep going north but running that skinny water in a 20'er can be nerve racking....we did find a few pike though.

Thanks for the info Jon. I had to settle for some of the 9" Ct. "trophy" trout.

Think north if you can get up there.
