Mine is coming around the flooded stream bend in the whitewater canoe and finding that some A-hole had cut a tree down across the creek to get his snowmobile home. Oh, uh, yeah..., with a friend in the bow who'd never been in a canoe in moving water in his life trying to paddle back upstream, yeah right. :o :o :o

Forgetting that you're using the "2 piece" today and failing to tighten it for a while. The rod gets light quick when it's only halof there.  ::)

Thats a classic..forgetting the plug,
Did that last summer I put the boat in and decided to put on the bilige even tho we had it covered all week and it was poumping for a while but i didnt give it much thought and went out to the middle to fish....Turned around and the water was halfway up the console in my 16.5 ft Lowe Boat w/ a 50HP. I started it up and punched it to the shore AND banged a rock that I knew was there but I had no other choice. I was not too happy my Dad forgot to put in the Plug!!! >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(

was standing on a rock fishing from shore slipped fell in the lake (8 ft deep) not a good swimmer either.knocked my container of lures in with me (open of course) and the drop is straight down and I was flailing like a fish on land because I couldn`t get back up.But I survived to buy another $100 worth of lures and fish another day.The next day actually, but on nice safe shore.

My Canoe came with a decent length of rope attached in case you want to add anchor. So I did . Problem was I never checked the Length of rope or the depth of water before tossing the anchor in, and very quickly following it

after "fishing" trout on opening day i ran over to Bass Pro to pick up a new deep cycle battery.  sleep deprevation must have been setting in when i set it in the back of the truck with my noodle rod.  first time i hit the brakes i heard the battery sliding and then a lovely CRUNCH!  although "DOH"  wasn't exactly the words that came outta my mouth.

Forgetting that you have a limit of four walleyes on the stringer over the side of the boat and then finding out that you only have three left after going full throttle across a lake . :-[ :-[

Flyfishin in Wyoming last summer was using a Hopper with a Nymph dropper. The Hopper acts as an indicator for the nymph but low and behold has a hook in it as well. After catching a load of Cuts I had a slammer come up and inhale the hopper, I just stood there in awe and totally forgot why the hopper was there in the first place, was extra late in setting the hook that the trout had already spit out, D'Oh!
