Dillenbeck launch
« on: May 22, 2016, 09:06 AM »
Went to Dillenbeck Bay yesterday looking for sunnie/crappie/whatever.

The launch is a mess.  Some people choose to drive their boats onto the trailer, which digs big holes in the sandy bottom from the prop-wash.

The water is shallow and it is difficult to find a spot where you can get the trailer in far enough to float your boat, then one wheel of your trailer falls into one of of those propwash holes and the boat leans way over.... .

I did manage to get in the water , found one sunnie, no crappie, and a couple largemouths.

That stinks. There are definitley quite a few launches in VT that could use a little more upkeep. At least you got past the Boat launch troubles and caught some fish! That's what fishing is all about, enduring the tough times to get to the good ones.
perch bait on IS, if you couldn't figure that out on your own. ;)
