CAN NOT GET EM

i live up in cny and my local lake (owasco) has tones of perch. i can see them off the peer and in the outlet but i can never get them to bite. i may catch one here and there but never enough to keep.

ive used everything from fatheads to latest lure. i have no boat so iam stuck fishing at places i can get to by foot.

i just tried the berkly gulp minnow and have caught many rock bass, crappie in cayuga lake and some small large mouths but no perch.

any help would be appreciated.

light line, small hook, half a trout worm, no weight and let them take it a second and set the hook

Find a quiot spot on shore.  grab a pole holder stick. wait til after sunset and they will come in too shore. I just use a crawler and fish the bottom. use a bobber if theres alot of stuff to get hooked on.

I just got of the lake and all I could find was perch that was trolling a small worm on a worm harness in between 4-10 feet of water if its legal down there tipping it with a peice of perch helps to
