Long Weekend
« on: May 18, 2009, 11:18 PM »
The weather wasnt the best, but theres fish to be caught out there.
Headed to a few lakes ive never been to in search of "The Big One".
There was snow still around and the water was super cold.
Fishing was slow but did manage some fish.

Decided to keep a trout to roast on tin foil with a little olive oil, dill, sea salt, garlic and other stuff to fill the bellies after long day of fishing.
-Tho no 10 or even 5 pounders were caught this one tasted delicious.  Was 22" and one ounce shy of 4 pounds.

Welded a little electric motor bracket to back of new pontoon boat and seemed to work pretty good, rowing gets boring after all day fishing.

Usually at night when the water calms there are fish rising, but not this lake, i think we were a little too early.

Was an exciting weekend as always like to try new places.

Nice!!!
Orange Dragon, hehehe!!!  ;D
Your 'toon didn't have a motor bracket?? ?? ??
I have a Fishcat Cougar and it comes with one. I guess some of their other models it's an option.
I have to admit my Cougar is a sweet boat!!!  ;D

hehe.
no it didnt come with the kicker bracket. i need to make some adjustments like rod holder and maybe make a little higher seat that swivels. Oh and a bigger net for the huge fish i plan on catchin  :)

Even tho always seem to catch fish whenever go out, its been slower this year, unless im just more eager this spring to get out there then before.
Would be out today but we got snow today and i think itll be an indoor day ???
