Hey Fly Tiers...What's In The Vise?

I tie bucktails and basically use whatever thread I have ...gonna order thread that's strong specially for bucktails...any suggestions so I can look it up

Veevus thread Ben. Don’t try to break it with your fingers. You’ll leave a scar…..another scar…..behind.

It’s slippery so after you whip finish, give it a drop of super glue.

Ben, I’ve used Veevus power thread 140 denier for bucktails. Seems to hold up pretty good. Others may chime in with their preferences.

 Veevus is good  stuff  but i have  so much thread i  often  grab what ever is  close ....tying bucktails    my way  doesn't  matter  much i  like  to put a  drop of  super glue  gel on the  hook then the buck tail  wrap  tight  hitch  then i  either  use uv  resin or  two piece  epoxy i won't say it won't  slip  apart  i will say it will take awhile
