That's odd as perch eggs are in gelatinous strands. And they have a natural adverse taste to predators. maybe so but they don't look like that when you fillet one they are loose when you cut the sack open just sayin
My great uncle used to use kielbasa on a pimple for perch ..... he would go to a hole I cut and caught nothing in and would be reeling them in one after another ..... very irritating some days when I had no kielbasa - hahaha.

The females I raise and sell to taxidermists are too valuable to cut open so I don't do it. This one was over 15 inches and weighed 2 lbs. 3 oz.
