Title: How about mods telling people why a post was pulled?
Post by: gunner1 on Aug 02, 2007, 04:55 PM
That sounds like a GREAT idea to me! A generic email stating it was pulled does nothing to keep similar posts from happening in the future.

that'd require a bit too much effort! n I'm sure my post will be deleted!

Why do you need an E-mail?  If it was deleted, it was offensive or inappropriate.

MFF site policies (http://www.myfishfinder.com/fishing_forum/index.php?topic=1836.0)

After you  read the site policies, feel free to PM Scott with your beef. If you had a post deleted there may be a perfectly good reason for it, and not necessarily your fault.

It's not the end of the world and I'm sure that there was alot more perceived attitude in my post than there actually was. My main concern was finding out what part was "bad" so I can avoid suh things in the future. I hope it wasn't because I was putting down the DEC. I DID use "screwed" in the title, but I don't think that is considered vulgar language.

nobody get banned for their opinion...unless that opinion is offensive to other members. and nobody gets banned unless they are repeat offenders.banning is the last straw, but the good of the site and its members is not negotiable  ;)

I've only been around a couple years, and for someone to get "banned" on any of the 3 sister sites.....it definately wasn't because of a personal opinion......unless that personal opinion included vulgar personal bashing towards someone, and such postings persisted after that person had been warned more than once.   :-\

self inflicted wounds don't count...... 8)
