He finally wins a points race now they can get off his back. ;D

Good for Dale Jr! He is not my driver, but I was really pulling for him to win that thing. I think the fuel millage race is a great finish. Lots of excitement, especially when the caution waves.

Good for Dale...im sure that win will take some of the pressure off for a little bit and make JR Nation happy! ;D

He Cheated.

this win will build his confidence up. he will do better now.

He Cheated.

He Cheated.
Seriously? Is that the best you can come up with? I can't even accuse you of being a Gordon fan anymore, they're teamates. There is lots of squaking about Jrs supposed cheating, Nascar didn't see anything illegal, so there must not have been anything wrong. :P

Just send his Butt up here to Maine. We will give him some lessons on racing and fishing. We have an extra race car he can use. He will have to bring his own fishing gear.

LMAO, I don't think he would be up for that, afraid to get skinned by the locals. Everything I know, (which is very limited) is that he is a pretty stand up guy. I have grown to appreciate him and feel for him at the same time. I believe it's very hard for him to have anything close to a normal life. But, he is doing ok.

While under caution, Dale was running up past the pace car and turning the car off. He would then coast back to the rest of the field, fire the car up, and do the same thing. Some would contend that passing the pace car is illegal, some would say that you need to maintain a certain pace. Dale was warned, but he was never penalized. I have noticed that it's mostly the 2-5th place guy that are always clamoring about cheating in an instance like this. I think he did everything he could and it worked out. Good for Dale. Next up is a race where you actually have to know how to drive a race car.
BTW; kewl website http://www.whorffmotorsports.com/ (http://www.whorffmotorsports.com/) which one are you?

I didn't think you could get infront of the pace car...?
-
guys have 'bump drafted' the pace car, passed it, etc. for years. if they didn't fine him, or send him to the back of the pack, then he didn't cheat. pretty simple. ;D

BINGO!!

Too bad the guy finally wins and then the win gets kinda tained by aligations of cheating and whatnot....its racing and he did everything in his power to win and it worked! Good for him....
He did pass the pace car but when he was asked to stop he did so....so thats good in my books.
Go 88!

I think a top 10 at Infineon is much bigger than a win at MI. He is happy to just finish a race on a road course. To get out of there with a top 10 is amazing and another land mine dodged. Kyle Busch just keeps on winning, it will be an interesting year for sure. AND, how about my boy Matt Kenseth getting a top 10, it's a crazy world out there.

whats up with stewart this year ??? does he just not care cuz his contract expires at the end of this season or is he really struggiling? seems to me that kyle is the leader and stewart is driving like the rookie, and that sucks cuz im a die hard stewart fan
-
I think Stewart really is trying but he is having some bad luck! I hope he can pull out a win soon to...
-
Yes, Luck plays a very large part in NASCAR. There have been some incidents on the track that he just couldn't help but be involved in. BUT, I think it really revolves around the contract issues. No matter what they say, these kind of things really have a bearing on what they do on the track. Think back to what happened last year with Dale Jr. Once the contract gets worked out, the presure will be off, and I believe the results will improve.

i heard rumors of him wanting to start his own team?

Actually, he was aproached about being a co-owner of a team. This was not something that Smoke was considering, but he was intrigued. Smoke just wants to make enough money so he can retire. I am not really sure how much he needs to have, but I believe him when he says this.

Im sure if he wanted to live like the rest of us do....he would already have more then enough to retire!
-
IMO Stewart is not happy with Gibbs switching to Toyota because Stewart's affiliated with Chevrolet. I'm not sure if this is affecting the contract negotiations.

does he really care if he's behind the wheel of a Toyota or Chevrolet....
or does he just want more money...?
Stevo ???

i think most older drivers are loyal to where they started. Jr. would not race a toyota. it's all about money in the office. plus toyota isn't a american company. i'm sure tony is loaded, so i think it's the toyota.
