Himo ,
this lake is way to small to put on here were talking well under 20 acres. the only reason there is cats in there is one of the oldtimers that live on the lake released like 40 of them in there he said that was like 30yrs ago. ive been hering about more and more cats being caught out of there and would like to give it a try. i can say its in lincion county  :o

If the pond is that small use any of the basics.  Nightcrawlers, usually a big glob, stinky cut bait , or some of the commercial stuff you can buy at a bait shop.  Tou have to play around with different stuff and just start searching for them. ;)  8)

This past weekend I went and picked up my smaller boat at my grandmother's house.  I haven't used it in about 3 and half years.  I put mothballs in the boat, but I must have forgot to put some in the motor.  When I took off the cover there was a nice nest and a dead mouse next to the motor.  I hope the mice didn't mess up anything else.  I would like to use the boat to get on some smaller water's this year.  I'll have to test the motor out to see if it runs right.

---On a side note does anyone know a place in Southeastern Wisconsin where I can have the motor possibly serviced.  Somewhere that is reliable and decently priced.  Anywhere in the Milwaukee or surrounding area would be great.

try :

mack's motors
4224 s. kk ave.
st. francis
 414-483-4628

they worked on my 6 hp. evinrude last year and were fast, reliable and reasonably priced. st. francis is a suburb of Milwaukee.

I think I will finally get out this Friday! 8)  It's going to be in the middle 70's in the southeastern part of the state.  I think the fish will be moving into shallow waters.

Friday I got my little boat out for the first time in 3 years and the motor actually ran great.  Saturday I took out the big boat and tried to get some panfish to bite and I came home with absolutely nothing.  It was nice to finally be on the water again though.

Thought of the day. Remain Positive! With the winning mental attitude, you're going to catch more fish and you'll ge better each time you hit the water. Make a plan before you start casting. Use that slowdown period to determine what you're going to do, why, and how best to execute it.

Take your time. Remember, it's been awhile sence you've been on the water. Think back to last spring when you fished in the early season.Don't fish blindly if you can help avoid it.                      Duke- N-I

I have been starting to catch some nice catfish on the wolf river. It would really help if the weather would warm up. If any within 60 miles of Shiocton is fishing bullheads if you could keep them alive I would like to get some for bait. Can I buy them or is that against the law? Maybe we can work out a trade. Let me know
Thanks

Just wondering if there are any local bass clubs in this area.   Doesn't matter if it's just a local one or affiliated with B.a.s.s.    I might be moving up to this area and would love to join one.  Here in LaCrosse there are quite a few and I  am in a local one where we just fish on wed. nights for fun.    If there arn't any would anyone out there  be interested in joining one of these clubs.   Pm me if you would like to.

Lake Winnebago produces quite a few large channels in mid to late spring off the east shore. Fish live or cut bait on the bottom evenings or at night. Shore fishing can be effective. You seldom hear about cats in this lake but theres a good population of them.

Frankly I think alot of guys figured out that posting reports on favorite spots winds up with drawing way too much fishing pressure. It's just about sure death for small waters, I've seen it happen and more than once. I'll post reports but never on small streams and only on lakes that are at least bigger than 350 acres.
Having said that there are still topics other than reports that can engage a few people. What are hot Lures/Baits in Wisconsin, your area of the State? Just one example.

                                                                                                                                          Spin
