Title: Best Day in a While
Post by: bogtrotter on Apr 13, 2024, 01:06 PM
Today, given how high the streams were due to all the rain we've had, I decided to give Windsor Lake (Fish Pond) in North Adams a try.

On the drive up, as I headed north on the back road and looked to my left, I could see a rainbow over the town dump  . . . a good harbinger.

I got to the Pond a little after 9 AM and fished till a little after 1 PM.

The weather was cool (low to mid 40's) and partly sunny with occasional sprinkles.

Over the course of four hours, I landed sixteen sunfish, one 9" perch, one 12" brook trout and two 15" rainbows.

Good outing Jim. I heard that the shad are starting to bite in Holyoke.

Thanks for the tip, Manny!

Unfortunately, I'm tied up the rest of this weekend and next, but hopefully can get down there on the following one.
