Any reports? I know it early.  When do they start to catch them there?

at the west side pier its hit or miss. 1 day i caught a limit of callies ,the next day not even a bite. ive heard there is a decent spring run of trout but like anywhere else the 1 day you dont fish is when they hit the best. perch are always in that area another hit or miss species.

I was talking about trout.  Years ago I use to go and cast with cleos and such, cought atot of rainbows and browns.  Its been so long I don't really now when they should be hitting.  Howey, thanks for the info.

Went down to the west side pier sat. and threw some casts with cleos and spinners for a half hour with no luck. I've never fished for them from the piers before so I really don't know what I'm doing. The gut down at Screwy Louies said the water has to warm up a bit. There were a bunch of guys fishing the channel in the state park last fri. Didn't look like they had had any luck.

Mid April is a good time.....The last time I was down there I nailed a 9 pound brown off the breakwall.
