I too agree that Sox fans tend to take it over the edge. A bandwagon crowd in many cases, and young kids with alcohol= chaos.

I havent seen any of those shirts at the park or outside the park and I live here. This is the first I have heard about them. But there are always stupid fans where ever you go. But lets not be the pot calling the kettle black. Yankees fans are well known for being a bit rude. And when you go to a game you cheer your team and boo the other team if you want. Thats what you pay for. I can tell you stories about my neighbors son and girlfriend going to Yankee Stadium and wearing sox hats. Only to have beer poured on them and then get pushed around. They ended up leaving those games. So there are A-holes in every ballpark. Including yours.

hey no one is saying anything about not having fans that are BAD, the yankees are probably the team with the most bandwagon jumpers, hell everyone wants to be a yankees fan, but yankee fans do that to most everyone, kinda the NYC way what i was talking about is the difference between red sox fans and yankee haters calling themselves red sox fans and giving true fans a bad name, i said earlier true red sox fans are passionate and yes they hate the yankes but they love the sox first the people i was refering to couldnt name 3 or 4 red sox but know all the yankees they BOO, there not giving a message to kids to be red sox fans, but they are teaching them to hate the yankees, ever true fan on either side will admit they need each other, its part of what makes the rivalry so good boo and cheering is great but degrading players and fans is sending the wrong message now that the sox finally won a championship they have people who dont really follow baseball going to just yankee games to beat up on the yankees, not to cheer the sox

Then I whole heartedly agree with you. There are jerks in every city. And like you said,its popular for people to jump on the hottest team around to feel like their part of something. Even though they know practically nothing about the team. They actually give die hard fans a bad name.
