cleaning old lures
« on: Jun 18, 2010, 08:08 AM »
i bought a couple of old tackle boxes full of lures last night.
score!!
but kind of sad, i dropped the guy off at the bar with his new found wealth. i'm sure he's scrounging quarters and cans for a pack of smokes by now.
oh well, i got over that.

there are a few old wooden plugs, i know better than to do anything to them.
but there are lots of other, more modern, plugs, spinners and spoons. lots.
they all got kind of a funk on them from laying around for years. they're in otherwise good shape, and i'd like to put them to use.
what would be the best way to spiff them up?

I never tried it, but I heard toothpaste works.
