Well, two Curado 50E's have been ordered.  Primary use will be for ice fishing, but they're gonna get some open water use as well.

Well im not a baitcaster guy.....im strictly spinning and fly, but for my money it doesnt get any better than the shimano sahara spinning.  Cost about 80 bucks but performs like one that cost twice that much.  I have the 2500 and ive been so impressed with this reel that i feel foolish for ever spending the money on some of my  more expensive models.  I have a quantum catalyst that cost me about 140 or so and also an abu garcia soron that cost me about the same as the quantum catalyst.  Niether of these two perform any better than the shimano sahara imo.  I am thinking of trying one of the more expensive shimano models for next yr.  They have won me over.  Anyone have any feedback on the shimano stradic or the saros? id be interested to hear.

One thing you will get with a Stradic is a slightly improved line wrap system.  It uses a worm gear oscillation rather than a round gear driving the oscillation.  When you get even line wraps around your spool and virtually no excessive bulge deformity, your casting will improve in smoothness and distance with less effort.
