Unfortunatly I never got to meet Lt. but he struck me from the limited contact I had, as a man that lead from the front. May God bless you and your family Don.

Don and I met only once but he treated me with respect  and as if I had known him for many years.  We shared a service as Police Officers and I respected his service then and even more now.  May god bless his wife with peace and all those that he touched.  He will be missed.

Wow.....I've been pretty busy this summer and haven't been on MFF for the last couple months, and just seen this. :(

I never personally met Don. But, chatted with him on here and Iceshanty frequently. And even though I never got to meet the man in person, I know he was of top notch character and a very good man. And I know many of you here knew him personally and as some of you have mentioned, I am correct on my belief. I will very sadly miss the conversations with him. :(
Reguardless, he will always be a big part of the MFF and Iceshanty community.

You will never be forgotten, Don...and I'm sure you might be smilin down on me from time to time when I'm reelin in a big Lake Ontario trout or king salmon!

I'm really caught for words at the moment.
But, I would like to say God bless to his family, and so sorry for your loss. :(

Rest in peace, Don. :'( :'( :'(
