Pier Fishing ??
« on: Jun 20, 2015, 08:36 PM »
I plan on fishing on many great piers in my area. will I need a salt water lic. to do so? Are there techniques, politics, or rod size I should know about?
One pier has a bait shop with live shrimp and frozen squid, is that good?
Should I be bottom fishing or bellow the surface with the shrimp?
Could use a little help here. :-[

Pier fishing is great fun. Add fourth of July evening with old vets, overlooking Tampa, makes for a great evening.  8)

I'm sorry I never saw your 1st post.
Yup, pier fishing in saltwater can be a blast.
Have you tried and surf fishing down there yet?
It's equally as much fun.
I like squid for bait because it's harder for the brim and smaller fish to steal it.
